McTeigue & McClelland
Transcendent Partnership
Walter McTeigue and Tim McClelland have a fascination with beautiful jewelry. They sometimes get carried away when they are talking about a particular detail of a jewel or how a diamond or precious stone should be cut. Their enthusiasm is understandable - for Walter, jewelry is his heritage, for Tim it’s his art.

Walter is a fourth generation diamond and precious stone merchant who grew up in a family with a long history in the jewelry business. Joining the family trade in 1980 he learned from the ground up as a member of the diamond trading bourse in the heart of New York’s Diamond District.

Tim McClelland is an artist, designer and craftsman. In the tradition of the great names in jewelry Tim brings his creations to life through the effort of his own hands and the team of craftsmen he has assembled in their studio in Great Barrington, Mass.

Over the last 20 years this team has created a brand that has pierced through to the very top tier in the international couture jewelry world. Their line of original designs is carried by Bergdorf Goodman and Gump’s and collected by a client base that recognizes that this is the type of work that museums will be collecting in another hundred years to represent the best of the craft at the turn of the 20th century.

The ability that this duo has had in transcending geography with their design and business sense is an entrepreneurial model that Berkshire Creative looks to foster: a collaboration that brings art and business into perfect partnership.
